A bit about me!

Jo Warboys shooting-11

I love being a massage therapist!

Hi, I’m Jo & want to create a treatment for each individual client so they feel fab afterwards!

Self care and ‘me’ time is one of the best ways to keep you on tip top form! Reducing discomfort and increasing mobility are the key to wellness.
Having previously worked for over 15 years in senior management roles, once I had children it was clear that a change in direction was needed! I always used regular massage as a way to manage stress levels & help with my general well being. Also to deal with sore shoulders & neck from hours in front of a computer screen! The human body is fascinating and I knew I wanted to work in that field. I was also disappointed in the lack of specialist, effective massage therapy for pregnant and post natal women! I wanted someone to help me on my recovery journey after having children!

So, after having 2 ankle biters (!), the need for a physical & mental balance was even more important! So what better path to take than re training in remedial massage! I wanted to have a base knowledge in anatomy and issue resolution so made sure I had all of that training! Always expanding that knowledge is a goal and it makes for an effective yet enjoyable treatment!

Many of my clients are pregnant and post natal women, we are a group that needs to be ensuring we are practising regular self care as a priority! Also, as our bodies change during and after babies, I have the additional knowledge & training to treat any associated issues ; C section scar release, SPD, diastasis recti, abdominal work, all scar management.

Your  treatment goes beyond the time you spend on the massage couch, we look at home care, what you can do movement wise to help resolve any issues (by referral), breathing coaching and continuing support.

My clients include recreational athletes, yoga instructors, personal trainers, knackered mums, chronic pain sufferers .

Assisting on delivering the T3 Education sports massage course is epic! Seeing therapists trained to such a high standard is very rewarding! I was also involved in delivering the Burrell Education CPD training for pregnancy & post natal remedial massage including c section scar management.

My approach is holistic (looking at you a whole person) and results driven, are you in less pain? are those restricted areas improved?  Does your scar move better? are you sleeping better?

So here I am! Offering pregnancy, post natal, c section scar management, diastasis recti remedial, therapeutic, sports and deep tissue massage from my home in Twickenham.

Looking forward to treating clients & creating a feeling of stillness, calm & ironing out those knots!! Drop me an email or use the ‘contact me’ page.
