How can I support you during these uncertain times?

” Jo is kind, warm, completely non-judgemental, and just the person you want to see when you are feeling vulnerable.” MM, Whitton

What an uncertain & worrying time for us all at the moment. Everything has changed, is continuing to change and so many different feelings and emotions come up! These can change hourly let alone daily!

Everything you feel is valid, it’s an expected response to the ‘new normal’ we are all trying to adjust to.

Click here for my self care and safety plan, please feel free to use it and share with friends, family and anyone who may find it useful. It can focus us on being aware of what is going on for us, how we recognise it, how we plan to cope and strategies that work for us!

Are you offering your walk & talk talking therapy?

Not in its usual format no. I am adhering to government guidelines and only going out when needed and then staying 2 metres apart from other people. What is working is ‘virtual’ walk & talk. I call you, we both put our headphones in and continue to walk in separate venues. I can still offer a safe, non judgemental space for you to be heard and listened to. The usual session duration is 50 mins (£50), however at the moment, 30 mins (£30) is available during this crisis.

How else can I access your support?

Contact over Zoom, a video calling system and over the phone can be a valuable way of connecting to non judgemental place where you can freely talk about how you are feeling. This may be at a time of overwhelm or as a ‘safety’ ‘I need to have some headspace’ type scenario too! This will be about YOU doing what is right for YOU.

I am now uncertain of my income & need to talk to someone, what can I do?

There are free telephone and text services available. I have listed them here:

https://www.giveusashout.org/

https://www.samaritans.org/

‘Pay what you can’ is a consideration also, drop me a line and we can have a chat about costs etc. I will always do what I can to enable access to my 1:1 support.

Are there online resources I can use?
